Yesterday I have been to a club....very crowded and very hot in there, the air was extrem humid!
After 3 hours I checked my phone (which I had in my jeans)...and it was dead!!!!
Could not start it !!!!
Had to take the battery out and after some while it started.....
Question: Could it be, that M8 doesn´t like humidity very much????????
Has anyone similar experience?

Thanked 14 Times in 10 Postsi remember a story about the m8 switching off in the cold... but that was ages ago, and the phone would have improved by then... the answer to your question: my m8 has seen some high temperatures and humidity, but it hasnt switched off. u also may be the only one with this problem since it hasnt been mentioned. hopefully this was a one off

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI had a similar thing happen to me with an N95 in shenzhen - very humid day and i was walking with the phone in my pants pocket and it got damp (from sweat)... at least with the N95, this only affected the screen, meaning i would turn on the phone the screen would remain blank yet the phone would work... tried many fixes included paying a guy 500RMB to fix it - it still happens to this date, and the only solution is that i leave the phone off for a day or so, and the screen comes back...
Since on the M8 there are no physical buttons on the phone to check if it was working, it may be that your screen has the same problem as my N95...
Alternatively depending on how damp it got, there could be other damage - this is similar to water damage, and the best (no-cost) method to see if it will get better is to leave the phone off with the battery out, give it a day, if it still does not work, then you are SOL, sorry.
As far as the research i did on this, if it happens to your phone once, the it is succeptible to it repeatedly; but same phones from the same manufacture don't necessarily all get affected this way - Just remember from now on not to leave your phone in your pants if you are sweating.

These phones should be sealed pretty well, but moisture can still get in through various ports. Electronics do not like water or humidity at all, and if humidity is too high, water droplets form on your device and fry the mainboard.
