There's been no hints to an international release, so I highly doubt this. The English interface isn't complete, and there are no official dealers outside of China. Also, if they plan to release a beta product, it won't have much success because many people just want a carefree phone that just works.
The M8 is a multimedia device at heart, and many of the phone features aren't implemented well. You have to enter phone number with country code, area code, and finally the phone number. Installing applications isn't as simple as it should be on a mobile device, neither is updating the firmware, nor many other things.
Although an international release is possible, Meizu likely will not officially release outside of China. I doubt they currently have enough resources to execute this. Even if it was released outside of China, I doubt it would meet much success with most people.
No one really wants to buy a phone that won't be stable enough for everyday use for a while, right now we're hoping for M8 1.0 firmware to solve practically everything. I think Meizu's the only mobile phone vendor to actually release a phone before the firmware passes 1.0.
I doubt that the M9 will even see an international release, since one version is designed for a Chinese network, and the CDMA2000 version will probably retailed by Chinese carriers. Meizu needs to make at least a 80% complete product that is successful, so once they know they have what it takes, they can release internationally. The M10 or whatever is after the M9 might see an international release.
Of course this is based off of what I know and my opinion.Last edited by JkPwNsTeR; 03-28-2009 at 05:35 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMeizu as a company really need to advance thier corporate image from a 'fanboy' oriented company to a company focused on markets and customers within realistic 'legal' limits before they can be taken seriously - Internationally well reknowned companies have released meagre products and gone on to achieve great success - it's primarily about managment and corporate communication - i don't think Meizu has management that has attended even a rudimentary MBA class - much less anything ivy league...
