Hello,
I had all my contacts on the internal memory of my old phone. Now I transmitted them via bluetooth to my M8. I can see them in my "recieved files" folder, it is a "vcf" file. How can I now import them as my normal contacts on my M8?

Try putting the file in "DISK\Contact\Backup" and then use the default method to import your backup contacts.
I'm not sure it'll work since M8 backup each contact in to a single ".vcf" file, but it's worth a try.
If that fails you can copy all you contacts to the SIM-card from your old phone, and then import them to you M8 that way. Some times, I get this feeling that i really want to work out! But then I sit down on the couch and wait till it disappears..

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostOkay now I can import it, but then its one contact with all numbers, adresses etc of all contact...

When copying to SIM, all extra information like pictures etc gets lost...
I will try to copy the contacts from my old phone to my computer and then put them on my M8, hope that works...

Since M8 can import contacts from Outlook with Active Sync, it should work if you can import your contacts to Outlook from your old phone. Not sure if the pictures will be copied though.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostWell outlook couldn't take it either...
But I wrote a little java program, that takes the vcf file and splits it and then writes a file for every contact. So it works now with pictures and all.

Thanked 5 Times in 5 PostsIf you previously had a Sony Ericsson phone, it's best to use Float's Mobile Agent, and save all your contacts as singel .vcf's. I'm sure other brands have their own specific programs for this, just wanted to share :-)
