    International Meizu M8 users

While browsing intrawebs I stumbled upon such sticky thread of one webshop forum from it's admin, and it says following:

-indirect advertising removed, read chengdude's post below-
Can anyone else using M8 outside china confirm this? As mine M8 is currently in post I would like to know if I should send it back upon recieving.

Sorry if this was already discussed, I am too stupid to find it.

We have some users in the US, and I don't believe they are experiencing problems that bad. You can find those threads http://www.meizume.com/minione-m8/75...urs.html] here. Hope this helps!

Consider the source. Wouldn't you say there's just a teeny-tiny bit of self-serving interest when a webshop planning to sell the M8 tells people to wait for the version they're going to carry?

The M8 is proven to work as far north as in tiny Denmark, i would since im using it here The only nationality issues i have to report is the consistant abscense of national characters, æøå in the FW updates - thus my biggest wish right now is to have æøå implemented in a future FW.

@ TS - The post you quoted is self-serving for the store and untrue. The current version M8 is used without any problems on GSM networks all around the world. Talk about nasty business ethics.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

I've just read a hungarian test about the M8, a couple of days ago, it tells that the phone will be distributed in Hungary with a translated firmware, etc. and it will be the international version of the M8.
So I contacted with the Meizu importer, and they told me there will be an int. version with wifi, and they will be distribute in two month from now.

I'm sorry, but this seems extremely implausible. From an official Meizu dealer, no. From an importer, yes. Meizu hasn't had the time nor resources to create an international market, so what you're getting is probably an M8 with a translated firmware that you may or may not be able to upgrade.

"Test" versions got the same warranty like the final version. You just got no warranty outside china , but for this case it doesnt matter its final or test version .Both need to be send back to china.
