Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe M8 supports GSM/GPRS 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz frequencies. So it is quadband right out of the box.
Unlock refers to removing restrictions of carrier useage (which is mainly an Apple problem because they have contracts with only one carrier per country and don't support some countries at all). The M8 doesn't have that problem.
Just to clear things up: If a phone is not quadband you can try to crack it as much as you want. It's a hardware issue and can't be "fixed" by software.
