Another "international" M8 thread...
Well, this just popped up on Meizu's global forums site:
How do I buy an M8 if im overseas? - Meizu M8 - Meizu Forums
So, what's Meizu got up its sleeve?[....] as it has not been released overseas yet.
Please wait for the international release.
Therefore if you are living overseas and planning to use the phone overseas, your best option is to wait for the international release.

No warranty ? I just placed an order, is it better to cancel that, and wait to see what Meizu will do?
I'm cursing in front of my pc here, don't know what to do now.. The 'international' version will probably just be the same hardware, no ? ( same as the test version ). So support for international should also apply to me ?
Darn

You can only do one phone so many ways, so I'm sure the international release will be the same as the test version. Heck, the M9 is going to be basically the same phone with only the 3G hardware and necessary changes to the software to tell them apart.
Apart from not trusting the seller, the only other reason to wait would be if Meizu has tweaked the software to make it more "international"...perhaps they're going to eliminate the Chinese interface altogether??
What I'm most curious about is if Meizu has signed any agreements to distribute the M8 outside China. A couple months back, there were some lunatic flame wars over who had the rights to sell the M8 in India, but apart from that there hasn't been a peep about M8 distributors in other countries.

humm...interesting. Is the person who posted the reply, an official member of the meizu team? is it a reliable source? there may still be hope hope yet for international customers.

I've had a chat with him. He says that he is a fan, but his actions tell another story.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

No, I think it's too early to tell. He still seems more like a fan...

Um, actually he's now a moderator on the Meizu English forums. That -and the fact it was "signed" The Meizu Team- are the only reasons I posted this.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsChengdude.....Let me get you cleared that there was no such agreement were made by Meizu with none those two companies, the copies which was circulated on the Net for getting the License to sell M8 in India was a fake and was taken from Meizu for some other reasons and giving all fake details of the market conditions in India, it was also made cleared by Meizu that this should not be circulated anywhere, infact even as of today Meizu is still in talk for the International but the confirmations are not yet cleared..The second fact is those copies which were generated in the name of that company, that company is not yet registered anywhere in the World means it has no existence....
