Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSms Question...
I have a test version with firmware 9.04 and ive been having difficulties with sms and mms.
I cant send a first sms to anyone, no one receives it. But i can recieve any sms. And if I reply to the sms receieved, then that person begins to receive my text messages after that. I just cant send the first one to people. Does any one have the same problem? Also, I cant seem to configure my gprs settings for edge and mms using tmobile in the US... I keep getting "locating secondary proxy" and mms failed messages upon trying. Could someone help me out with these questions? Thanks guys, you all rock.

when you send sms or mms you must include the country code before the phone number.
For example I'm in France so my country code is +33. If I send an sms to usual phone number without +33 it won't work. But if you add the country code then it works.
When you receive a sms you'll see that the phone number shows the country code. So naturally when you reply to it you use the recipient phone number with country code...
Get it?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI always input my contact phone numbers into my phone with teh country code in it...
for example: this is the number
1 713 555 5555
Where 1 is the country code, and when I receive a sms, it shows the name of the contact that the number belongs to, after that I can reply successully. I cant send the first one though, any thoughts?

Do you record the number as 1 713 555 5555 or as +1 713 555 5555?
Normally if you input the phone number has +1 713 555 5555 when you send a sms it should work fine
Well at least that's how it works on my side!

Your MMS settings should be the same as your WAP settings. Usually wap and mms settings are the same, at least this is the case for AT&T. Not sure for TMobile, but try it anyway.

well on my side MMS can be sent but they won't reach all recipients at the same time... sometimes it'll be instantaneously delivered to the recipient and other times it can take several days!
Same thing for reception: most of the time I receive a link to a website to check the MMS sent by my contacts, but several days after the MMS has been sent...
Boring!
But using a chinese device on european might be the cause??

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks for your input. MMS does not work for tmobile here in the states. Ive tried every combination, it cant recieve nor send and mms settings. SMS works great with + infront of the number. Some mms settings states send ok but no one ever recieves them. Eventually hopefully Meizu will have this feature installed for US users. or at least tmobile users.
