Camera Functions

I know itiis going to sound dumb, but I cant seem to understand the Camera functions.
In the Camera mode, if you press the volume keys, there appears some icons on the screen, One says "Auto"
one looks like a zoom function and one looks like Brightness....

But how do you manipulate them, I have tried everything..all the buttons, tried to slide across the screen, but dont seem to be able to manipulate them...

actually the volume up button will display all functions available and the volume down button allows you to alter these fuctions
so first you select the function with vol up button (zoom ie) and then you use it by pressing the vol down button (zoom in/out)

Volume up key is for switching between options (brightness, light-metering, digital zoom, white balance) and volume down key is for adjusting them. Seems pretty obvious to me

do you think there will ever be a function where you can add borders to your photos? like you have a border of a jail cell and you take a picture of your friend, making it look like he is in there.

haha, my Sony Ericsson has that. I'm quite sure that with the amount of developers there are, surely all you'd have to do is to ask. There's a large community of GFX, developers, and although not as large as Apple's, I'm sure they'll eventually have a program like that.

Is anyone else having focusing problems with their M8?
I cannot seem to take very in focus shots with mine, and anti shake function for the camera would be great....

^ Each version, the camera is tweaked. Which are you running currently?

I am currently running firmware 0.9.0.4.

But the quality of the images has been prettiy standard since i first got my M8 last december.

Just poor focus when taking pics.
