Wifi Internet Problem
Hey everybody,
I know i have been asking around for this problem for some time now, but no one seems to be able to help me.
I cannot get my internet to work over wifi on my M8.
- I connect to my wifi network (entered the correct web key)- it then shows the blue dot which means its activated. The connection bar on the top left is full. I also tried switching the active connection to "Closed" or "Auto". Neither works.
either way I always get a error message in the browser.
What can i do, can nobody help?
I would really apreciate any answers..
Regards
MR_BUNNYCHOW

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsServeral things could be possible...
first of all: Is DHCP enabled on your WIFI acess point.
If that is the case:
Go to the webbrowser and enter about:config in the adress bar. On the side that appears now go to the point "PROXY".
The last three check boxes should be unmarked as long as you don't use a proxy.(Which I asume)
If that is not he case:
You have to fill out the IP infomations on the WLAN Settings in order to work.

DHCP is enabled. I tried webradio with a asx-File. Works - also Email. Just the Webbrowser not works.
Says sometimes: Networksettings not exit. - But i have no idea what settings the Browser 'talks' about.

Try updating the firmware to the latest one and re-cracking it.

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsIs there any way that the M8 can REMEMBER or SAVE the WEP key.
It's rather annoying to re-enter it each time.

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsDo anyone know which file is the settings file?
Or even better, how to save the settings in about:config properly?
Because every time I open Opera, I have to change the settings back, and if the program is inactive for a bit, it also changes back to default!
