    M8 and its MAC address

For some odd reason I posted this thread last night, and this morning when I checked.. it was no where to be found....
I am sure I posted this and did not just dream of this...
    So Here goes again.
On my Wifi network at home I have the MAC address filtering turned ON.. too many leechers in this locality...

Anyways, for my M8 to be logged on to my network, I have to let the router know what the MAC address of the device is....
But How and where can I find the MAC address of the M8?????

Did you get a registry editor?

Open HKLM\Comm\SWLD24SP1\Params, find a REG_SZ key named MACAddress, the mac address is the value.

I found my MAC address by connecting it to my wifi router and then searched for the M8 in the attatched devices list on the router. But this method is easier.

There is a mobile registry editor somewhere on the forums, you plug the M8 into your computer and run the program on windows.

    Blah,
    I like your signature GIF...
OK, I did the same thing, cleared the MAC address list from the router, then whatever I saw new, I thought it was the MAC address for the M8...
But as I stated earlier.. lot of leachers in this area, so there is a great possibility that the MAC address that I thoght to be M8's could be some one else's....
If you have got it working... could you PM or reply with the first 6 alpha-numarics... as the first 3 octets are the company signature... and I should not see any other NIC cards with the same company signature in this area..hopefully I am the first one with an M8 in TX......

I tried to check my MAC address by this method (using registry editor in M8 Sprite) but did not see this key in \Comm\SWLD24SP1\Parms. I do see BTMode, BusNumber, BustType, PSMode, ResetOnResume and UseOemResetEnable. All are REG_DWORDs.

I used M8 Sprite to crack WiFi and I have been able to use WiFi on some networks but am having problems logging onto a specific network and wanted to find my MAC address to check the network logs to troubleshoot.

    Anyone have any ideas?

check your wlan´s router/ap log file of active clients, then you see the list currently connected devices to it..
it is easy to eliminate with a mac address lookup
