Problems

Hi!
I'm glad to have my own m8 !
I can't solve the following problems - maybe somebody can help:
- in gprs-settings i don't need any proxy; but there is a value by init.
- i don't manage to sync with actvesync 4.5 - the phone doesn't get recognized
- the browser doesnt get a web-connection; email work
- how can the phone be put in silent mode?

Hi Martin

1. you can just edit the value out to 0.0.0.0 although how can you not need a proxy?

2. you also have to set the phone to active sync mode. If that is already set, did you install the version of active sync from the disc on the cd? Or from some other source?

3. for the browser to get a web connection, you more than likely need that proxy you say you don't need. You also have to edit the setting on edge to your own mobile carriers settings.

4. To put the phone into silent mode, press the 'M' button and one of the 'volume' buttons(located on the laeft side of the phone) at the same time. Or you can additionally install this program and set up default profiles:

gprs with proxy:
I can't type 0.0.0.0 - not possible; i can type 1.0.0.0; strange. Same with port - not possible to leave empty

I first used that one on the cd from meizu - v4.5 ; then an other on

webbrowser
Opera dosn't work; neither over wifi. I get an error.

mailbox, voicemail
Is it possible to configure such a ?

i fixed it. Had to set up the notebook. Then install with the Meizu CD.
Still have the following problems:
- Webbrowser not work (edge and wifi)
- no Time sync (time from operator)
- wrong calendar sync (time of the entries is wrong)
- no mailbox/voicemail

If you can't get the web browser to work, try going in the Wifi settings and set the active connection to "Closed" or "Auto" (press on the small arrow on the right).

even when i put the setting to "closed" or "auto" the wifi browser does not work- error message..
what must i do?

I ve been trying hardli. No chance. The following Problems stay:
- Browser not work. Shows error message; either 'no network' or 'page not found'
- the calendar gets synced wrongly - times don't match

Maybe next firmware will fix :-)

Argh! M8 phone no longer detected on my office desktop. Today when I connected the phone to the pc the activesync remains greyed out and detect no new device. I tried rebooting both pc and phone, and the USB is on sync mode. Phone has a picture of two blue atoms moving in a blue circle while blue bubbles rise up to them. I guess it's trying to sync, but failing?

I had the same problem a few times, and it's very annoying... Not sure how I solved it though...reinstalled the M8's usb driver, deleted partner devices from activesync, set the phone to U-disk mode than back to activesync, and somehow it started to work again. Maybe try it with a different USB cable.

i had the same problem, u have to put the usb cable into a different usb hub on pc (the pc usually has several usb hubs)!
then it should connect again!

It works on my home pc at the moment, so I'm sync at home instead.

Still no WiFi
Webbrowser over EDGE now works. But not over WiFi . The WiFi - Symbol appears. Then sometimes the error message: Networklink not exist; please open settings.
Has any body an idea? I also tried 2 different cracker versions (same kB).
