I think there was another Meizu Me member that mentioned this before. He said something about multiple decorated stores/rooms selling the Meizu M8 with wifi officially. That member also said that those M8 units might eventually be replaced with M8s without wifi. I can't find the thread.

I think it sounds strange that Meizu would remove WiFi from the M8. It a huge step backwards and I can not belive that is something Team Meizu wants. Only thing I would buy into is that it may have been software locked, I really dont belive they have removed the hardware supporting WiFi...

That's what most of us are hoping for RavenART. We're all sure that Meizu doesn't want to remove wifi.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts^ ... this is the first i am hearing of an official launch next week? I know they have recieved the license and plan a launch soon, but did not know they have announced a date as of yet; They do need to bring out a new fw at the very least before the official launch, IMHO.
Also doing a launch of the phone in China around the same time as the whole world is looking at the new stuff coming out for world mobile congress in which Meizu is not participating i think is kinda lame duck.

There was a post by JW stating a batch of 18000 units in mid-February. I think among those some are 16gb versions.

waja2000 mentioned that Meizu ordered some 16gb nand chips and are to arrive early-mid February. My speculating says 16gb M8s could be in that batch.

Sorry to be a party crasher, but nothing proved the shipping scheduel to be legit, but with the new patches, firmwares and network licenses, one would be inclined to believe that the M8 is arriving soon.
But my hypothasis says that the Test units and Official units are near identical and just as good when the 1.0 FW get released

I do mean hardware wise, sorry for not specifying
My argument is; why throw a test unit out that either has better or worse than the official unit, the testers would have to test the very near to finished product, so it would be dumb to release a final unit that has different hardware.
