Hey,
I've often read that there will be no wifi in the M8 soon. But look at meizu.com. There is also the internet in the specifications. I think if they realy put wifi out, they would delet it from their website.
Or understand I something wrong?
greets,
kruemel

Sorry, but you are mistaken. Mobile connectivity is still possible through EDGE or GPRS networks.

Yes, the M8 has Wifi, but officially, it does not because of some legal problem in China. A hack has been released to reveal the Wifi capability.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

I'm not too sure, but most likely not.
Also, the Wi-Fi is only on the test units. The official production units might or might now make it with Wi-Fi.

3G is a type of wireless hi-speed internet for cellular devices. It goes about ~250kb/s.
EDGE is a type of wireless hi-speed internet for GSM phones. It goes about ~20Kb/s. It operates under a cellular network.
Wi-Fi is a type of wireless networking for computer, peripherals, mobile devices, and even game consoles. It is extremely versatile and implemented everywhere. The maximum speed is ~300Mb/s for the 802.11n standard.
Seriously, read at least some of the thread before posting something.

It's not mine either, but after being around here for a while you just kinda pick up that the Meizu M8 test units don't have Wi-Fi, EDGE, or 3G. With the cracker, Wi-Fi and EDGE can be activated.
As for the official release version of the M8, we're not sure yet.

Thanked 14 Times in 10 Postsi knew there was no 3g and wifi was activatable, but i wasnt sure about the EDGE, or what it was. (speeds and specs of the various connections)
on a more serious note, i now understand why everyone was unhappy why ifi was removed, even though they still could use EDGE.
