Problem about EDGE or GPRS

Hi Guys...

i hv got M8 about 2 weeks and i like it very much...but now i hv got some problem about EDGE or GPRS...now E or G showing on my M8 desktop has been disappear. So, anyone could help me to explain &tell me how to fix this out ??

Have you switched off GPRS, EDGE....or both off? Go to the settings on the menu. Check if both "Carrier" and "EDGE" (2nd and 3rd in the settings menu) are set to on. Slide the little bar to blue to switch on.

thanks but in the past...even i switch off EDGE or GPRS...this will always show E or G on my m8 desktop but now it's not. by the way, the carrier is always switch on...do u hv any way for me ??

If nothing else seem to work, do a registry reset. Turn off your phone, and when you turn it on, hold the M with the power button until it says "Clearing registries".
By the way, have you cracked the wifi? Maybe it has to do something with it.

thanks a lot but registry reset will not hv any effect for the other data of the phone right ??

anyway, i hv cracked wifi, bluetooth and edge...

Hey nice2know_u. What does this registry thing do? Does it just reset your registry or/and remove all your apps too? Im looking for a way to clear my m8 back to factory settings, removing some apps i put on completely off the phone, and anything I might accidentaly changed in the registry. Is this the best way or should i reinstall FW? If I update FW, would i be able to revert back to an old one?

It wont delete anything from Disk directory, but you have to reinstall all the programs, and all the settings will be reseted (ringtones, wallpapers and such...). Also you have to recrack the wifi.

maybe its just very case... you've turn on your wifi. it will replace the G or E sign, and even you don't have the WLAN signal anymore the G and E won't show up, until you turn off your WLAN button.
