Sacrilegious.. Android on the M8

Yeah i know, the M8 OS is getting better and better, but when stumbling over the android system or just getting it smacked in the face, i wondered wether it would be an improvement or a downer to try Android on the M8

Since the OS is Opensource, there will always be new things to it, and new updates running inn. And with the new update coming soon, it will also feature an onscreen keyboard, and by Febuary we should see international support coming with Android

Abit offtopic already there, the main topic is: wether it would be sacrilegious to go Android on a M8 when Meizu are working so hard to get the interface looking and being smooth. Would you do it?

I would switch to Android if it proved beneficial.

Yes, I use many Google products (search, calendar, mail, rss) and it would be great to have them all in one place.

It is also unlikely that the Meizu App Store will be as vast as that of Android.

Unlikely? I'm sorry to be pessimistic, but it's impossible. Android will be deployed on so many different devices but the Meizu OS is only on the M8.

Android also has some great applications, including one that scans barcodes using the phone's camera and uses your GPS to find the best price in your region.
