Feel free to add yours, I found these on the chinese bbs.
Here you go:
Reset the registry before updating to a new firmware by pressing the M+power button while turning on the phone!
1. If you press one of the volume buttons when the phone rings, you can mute the phone.
2. You can answer calls with the M button.
3. When taking photos you can use the volume buttons to adjust exposure/white balance/digital zoom/light-metering.
4. You can quickly mute the phone with M+volume keys.
5. To delete files, emails, videos, messages drag your finger from left to right and click Delete.
6. You can hide the webbrowser's address bar by pressing on the middle of the titlebar. Navigation buttons will be hidden automatically, but if you tap on the bottom of the screen they will come up.
7. Photo browser supports resolutions up to 2592x2048
8. When inputting text you can hide the keyboard by pressing the titlebar
9. Music key: press it for a few seconds to start the music player; press it for 1 second to pause/play; press it twice for next song. When the screen is locked you have to press it for a little longer to play/pause.
10. You can change the song order at playlists by dragging the grey box displayed on the left side
11. When on a call you can press the M button to return to desktop (and launch programs); press it twice to return to the call interface
12. For flipping ebooks tap the upper or lower part of the screen; if you tap on the middle part it will go fullscreen
13. You can hang up calls by pressing the M button for 1-2 secs
14. For pausing videos you can use the music button
15. Offline html files can be opened if you type in "file:/" in the address bar and then find the file.
16. Opera's settings can be opened if you type in "opera:config" in the address bar.
17. To take screenshots press the M and the power button at the same time (saves pictures in Camera Album directory)
18. To focus when taking a picture do the following:
When you press the button to take a photo instead of just pressing and letting go, you press and hold it. Then let it focus (green cross) and then let it go.
19. To turn on the loop and shuffle options in the music player tap on the title of the song.
20. Press the M button twice in main menu to bring up the Task Manager
21. While the music player is on and the screen is locked, press "M" to switch bottom icons to music mode then drag the icons to either pause/play, next/previous song
22. Tap on the middle of the screen in the Music Player to change from tracking to volume setting
23. You can clear the registry by pressing and holding the power and m button during startup (WARNING: You will loose all your settings, and have to reinstall all programs!)
24. When reading ebooks, hold your finger on the display for a second to bring up the text selectors (for copy and paste)
25. If you have a long list of messages from someone (SMS), and you scroll down a little you can press the titlebar, and it will scoll back automatically to the top.
a, This only works in 0.9.0.5 and above: If you want to select everything in a folder (for copying for example), press Select at the bottom, and then tap on the directory icon on the left (if you have too many directories open you can scroll that list up)! Everything will be selected

How to change Opera settings to go to english websites instead of chinese ones by default
Thanks beefaronee for this!
"I had this problem as well. You will need to edit the operarc file located in your \Program Files\WebBrowser directory. Look for the line that reads:
Language File=\Program Files\WebBrowser\locale\zh-cn.lng
Change it to read:
Language File=\Program Files\WebBrowser\locale\english.lng
Next, go down to the second to last line. It will look like this:
HTTP Accept Language=zh-cn,en;q=0.8
Change it to read:
HTTP Accept Language=en;q=0.8
That should take care of your problem. I just used notepad to make the edits. Be sure to make a copy of you original file should something go wrong. You can always restore it."Last edited by nice2know_u; 05-12-2009 at 06:58 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsMaybe we could make this thread a sticky?
This is a 'tip' if you already haven't figured it out... you can use resource editor to edit SMS.exe.0409.mui and in string 40 you can change the 'Device Host' to whatever you want to call yourself in the message history.
Changing mui files to do stuff is in the following post:

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsDon't want to sound rude or anything but it does exactly that (clearing the registry) or more like restoring it to factory defaults. You will loose all your settings, and installed programs, so make sure you do a data backup.
You haven't done it correctly if you can't see any changes. When the phone is turned off, press and hold the power and the M button at the same time until you see "Clearing Registries".
About the file association problem...did you install TCPMP? That's causing a lot of troubles.
