Is there by any chance someone that can check wether theres a directory on the M8 called "\HKLM\T9 Input Method\" ?
If so i might know a way to change the dictonary to your native language

    No HKLM\T9 Input Method... sorry

@Nice2Know_u: Depending on if you are using Vista and the phone is connected under activesync (not USB transfer) then you can access the M8\Windows directory (either through my computer, or by sync center>file manager)
You can copy files off the phone, but cannot replace the protected files on the phone.

nice2knowu, its ok ... its not that urgent to have, but its important...hehehe... we can still do pressing the CH/EN button on the keyboard to english everytime we use the keyboard... switching is just annoying sometime. Maybe its the first thing for the software-guys-m8-fans to generate by the SDK provided by Meizu...

Oh... can i post my querry here... i can't locate the MSN software apps
on that specific forum, can you possibly give the link again.

    Thank you very much.

Oh really? I'll give it a try then. Seems much simpler.

You can replace these files. Simply rename through ActiveSync the first original file in Windows for example MiniOneShell.EXE.0409.mui in MiniOneShell.EXE.0409_.mui, then copy in Windows your modified mui, and then restart M8 and enjoy

What Alex says is right on the ball. Nice2know_u told me about this a while ago and it works a treat. you can even edit them and copy and paste them through explorer.exe that already on the phone

Using mobile registry editor I finally managed to set the phone icon ON on my desktop (ishide set to 0). Thx
But after installating some other cabs this icon has disappeared. When checking it again with mobile registry editor I can't access the ishide string anymore... it has also disappeared... somebody know why and/or could help?
    Thx

There is a mini-app which makes your phone icon appear on the desktop.
Meizu Me - Downloads - M8 phone icon

Thx Tilai. I assume this cab file just modify the registry automatically.
I finally succeeded bringing back the phone icon on my desktop by rebuilding the registry

    Top left - yes
    Bottom left - no
    Top right - ?
    Bottom right - cancel

I'm 100% sure that the ones I listed are right, most likely the remaining one (the top right button) is overwrite.
