How to Unlock WiFi and Bluetooth on Meizu M8

As you may know, the M8 comes with WiFi and Bluetooth hidden, locked down. This is to circumvent Chinese mobile phone regulations. To use these features, you need to use a program called M8Cracker.

    Instructions
    1. Download M8Cracker
    2. Copy M8Cracker.exe to any directory inside your Meizu M8
    3. Run M8Cracker.exe from the file manager (labled as Documents)
    4. Reboot phone, once rebooted you will find WiFi and Bluetooth as new functions under Settings

Thanks for posting, but we already know this. The final M8 will be without Wi-Fi.

Hi verygood, your m8cracker is old version or new version? v0.8.X.X m8 required new version of m8cracke, if not old verson m8cracker will cause m8 UI unstable.

Thanks. It still says 1.0 beta from the link you provided, but this version was made later. Seems to give better signal too.

That settles the M8 issue for me. I will not spend over $400 to get a phone that does not have WiFi. Who should I?

It is only comfirmed that M8 sells in China Mainland won't bring up WiFi until now. For those sold in Hong Kong or even foreign country, I heard MEIZU will maintain two types of machines----that's to say, maybe you won't need to worry about the WiFi problem.

@fineday: This is pure speculation and wishful thinking. Until Meizu announces an official statement yours incorrect. Furthermore, Meizu is not even released in China yet. There are no announced plans for any release outside of China.
