Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostI've been thinking about the potential of this upcomming SDK, and I think it would be very interesting to maintain a thread with an "idiot's guide to installing the SDK and creating a simple example app" (e.g. creating something that shows an "hello world" and/or sets up an OpenGL screen).
I mean, a step by step tutorial including which tools need to be installed for it to work (and where to get them legally), which libraries to include in your #includes section, compiler options, linking details, how to test the example, etc.. all with ilustrated images, so that people that have the programming skills but are not experient with the Windows CE platform have an easier time getting into it.
Who knows, something like this could even be the beginning for some of us to create open-source, or even comercial (depending on Meizu's app store business model) applications for the M8!
Speaking for myself: I have some background on Open GL programming and wouldn't mind trying some simple 3D stuff, if the scary part of "where to start" somehow becomes a little less scary.
