    Meizu M8-Ads in the Forum

The last week appeared these M8-Ads everywhere in the forum.
This is no thread to make advertising for the company.

But i would like to hear your thoughts about the shop. Did you ever get in contact with them?

For me there are two possibilties:

    1. The shop does not have M8 but makes good buisness, while getting pre-orders.

    2. The shop will really have the M8 next week, like they write on their site.
But why can they have the phone?

The thing that makes me think about this, is that they appear in google-search aswell and i have seen so many ads of this shop.

Other (fake-)shops where never offencivly like them.

Your ideas and comments please. If any of you knows anything about them please tell us!

    _______
At Err0r, sry but i think it is time to talk about them. Every guest will see the ads in the forum. And if it was a fake we should warn!

Yes, are they real? They have some other phones that I would like to buy but it looks like it's to good to be true. Is it a scam?

The Problems about shops like this, is the problem with the Zoll. I bet 90% of the phones there are taken out and you have to pay the taxes for them. So for the first point, the product will be more expensive then you think first (about 20%).
The secound thing is, if you ever will recive your product. I don't trust in such online-shopes. There won't be any product for you and the money is gone.
If your phone is broken and you want to change it you can't because of the bad or not existing service for your products. And I bet Meizu won't pay you a cent or change the phone if you did not buy it in a meizu shop :/

The best thing you can do is waiting for offical release. I know it's hard to way so lang.. even because we all have been waiting for a long time now. But trust me. Wait until the offical release, buy your M8 on eBay and be happy. It's in my opinion the savest thing you can do.

If you want to buy your M8 in a unknow, unsave online-shop do it. But please... don't cry and start QQ threads here.

    Chrisi

P.S.: Big known and save shops won't do ad in a fan-forum like this... so there must be a reason behind why they are ad they shop like this

Anyone can take a pre-order of anything. Do we not remember that some people were taking pre-orders for the M8 a year ago and kept changing dates on their websites? I don't see what's different this time.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

I think these kinds of questions are a good example of why Jack Wong should keep a tight leash on sales of the M8 and take legal action if necessary.

Right now in China only Meizu shops are allowed to sell the M8 and frankly it should stay that way. Perhaps in the future, big B&M retailers like Gome or Suning will get involved, but if I were in Meizu's marketing department, the only online sales outlets in China I'd consider would be NewEgg & Joyo. Working with those two sites could also lead to future international sales through Amazon (Joyo) and NewEgg in the the US and Canada.

I know there are fans all over the world interested in the M8, but this device is so new and so critical to Meizu's future, I think it would be a huge mistake to allow unchecked sales on eBay (or Taobao in China) and/or to allow some third-rate undercapitalized startups to take advantage of the buzz surrounding the phone. Likewise, I think the M8 is a good enough product that Meizu can afford to be selective in how they map out future distribution plans.

    Dear *****,

Thank you for your interest in our products.

The Meizu will come on sale within a couple of days. The shipping to Germany is for free, the phone will be shipped by EMS, DHL or UPS.
We can declare the phone as a sample or a gift and mark a lower value on the invoice, to help you to avoid the customs duty.

    Regards,

    Christy

but i found some guys who made good experiences with them

first of all, meizu can't stop anyone from selling his m8 on ebay. second, this shop sounds like a regular choinese/hk shop/seller on ebay. they always offer to declare lesser value and gift. only thing i don't like about it is that they ship whit dhl and ups and that can cost up to 100euro. one other thing that stood out is that they accept western union money transfer, that's like honking a big scam horn.

I don't think currently there would be any one that has or going to have M8 to sell except the official agents. You know even official agents are also waiting for M8s. And not every MEIZU agents are allowed to sell M8 ---- they must be MEIZU authorized M8 agents. And more MEIZU doesn't have any official foreign agents right now, neither authorized M8 foreign agent.

In that case, now any online-shop outside China saying they have M8 are FAKE, and those who accepts pre-order are also dangerous ---- at least worth doubting. As what I've said, even Chinese agents are still waiting, how can they foreign agents get their machines?

So my suggestion is to wait patiently. Before MEIZU cound improve theif productivity, before MEIZU could get their Network Licence, or, before Mar 2009, the possibility that M8 could export is very low. Before then, Any store claims they have got bunch of M8s to sell is very possibly fake. Of course maybe there will be single person in China buying some M8s from local and re-sell them to westerners, the amount should be very small. So keep away from those shops who say "I have M8 in stock, come and buy it", and be very careful to join any kind of pre-order.

First of all.. Err0r can't customize the Google Ads and so if specialphones.eu bought some Google Ads they will be displayed in this forum Also the Photos on the Product Page are very confusing.. Like on this picture: -link removed- everybody should see that the interface is old and simply put in there with photoshop or whatever. So for me this shop is not very trustful cause there no real Photos of the M8..
