Hello fr3d. I bought it from my local MEIZU distributor(yes, I'm from China). The price vasts all over the world, so I think the price at China is not so important.

Hello que32asd. My conclusion till now is Excellent, lol, sure there are bunch of problems but no one is critical. Sometimes it will stop working, but still in a reasonable rate. I upgraded my M8's firmware to 0.8.0.0 yesterday, however I've not tried too many programs for there are still only few ones till now, and more than half has problems, big or small. I decided to wait for MEIZU to release the SDK of M8. 3rd part programs would be more then.

fineday - Do you have or own any of Meizu's previous products like the M6 series? Is the firmware upgrade different from there previous products where the entire memory is erased when the firmware is upgraded?

    Thanks.

With unboxing, I saw there was a CD delivered with the M8. What's on it? A piece of software so you can make screenshots from the screen in 720x480 format?

Hello morissen3k8. Yes, I have an M6 SL. Upgrading M8's firmware is differ from M6. M8 will erase all data belong to OS, leaving the user storage area unchanged. For example, the 8GB's flash rom is operated via the Disk dir in FileBrownser. Upgrading firmware won't affect that dir, however other data will be reset to default after completed.

To xgaming: that CD contains driver of M8's serial port for Windows XP, and the user manual. If you want to take snapshot, you can connect your M8 via ActiveSync, and then run a free PC software named Pocket Snapshot, then you can take screen shots of your M8 in your PC.

I kind of figured you bought it in China. I don't think anyone outside China has this device yet. I'm interested to see which cities have M8s for sale, so if you please: Where in China?
My second question is linked to the first. The official price is as far as we know 2380 RMB and the authorized stores are not permitted to sell it for more (or less). Is this true?
Good luck with your new M8.

Yes, the price is 2380 RMB and I paid that number, no more, neither less. If some shopping malls want to sell M8 and need to raise the price, they must contact MEIZU first to get the permission first.

    I live in Nanjing.

Hello Stressin'. I think handheld device will never be as fast as PC while surfing the internet. I have to say PC is still MUCH FASTER than M8 even thru the same WiFi.

But I feel satisfied with the speed, at least M8 is the fastest one in all cellphone I've ever used.

I don't think anyone has thanked fineday, or given him positive reputation for something he is not obligated to do, so Thank You fineday, and welcome to the Meizume Forums!

    Hi fineday:

Which of the 3 shops in Nanjing did you get your M8 from? I'm interested because I didn't get a very good impression from one of them (I think they're just a little big-headed from selling such a "hot" product).

Hello mbarry. Thanks very much. We had all been waiting for M8 for such a long time, and now I've got mine, I think it's my responsibility to give you any info that I can offer.

Hello neik, sorry that there isn't any 3D games on M8 till now.

Hello chengdude, I guess you're also a Chinese, so... 看名字是成都的?我在南京八百度预定的,感觉那儿人还不错的说。lol.

    我不是中国人和说的中文不太好。。。我住在南京所以问你在那儿买了。 “程度的”因为我也在成都住过。

    请原谅我的错误。
