Should i give up on getting the meizu if I have a mac?

I don't know whether i should still consider buying the meizu m8, because my laptop is a mac. i can't connect to iTunes with my meizu, and i can't open .rar files like the games or the m8 cracker, do you think i should give up or is there any help that anyone could offer me.

You CAN open .rar files on a mac, use a programme like unrarx (as I recommended to you already...so you've already been offered help....but for some reason you've ignored it)...

itunes is your choice, no one is making you use it, I can't help you there....

You can still use iTunes for the M8 by adding the music folder to the library I think... But it would be better to just use the drag and drop method to sync songs (which, IMO, is better). Like what Dominic said, you can use unrarx to open .rar files, so you're all covered.

do i have to download unrarx?
and also, iTunes is on the mac, isn't there a way you could mod it or something?

So? there's no one making you use it just because it's there already and there's nothing stopping you from switching to something a little more open...like songbird.

a new problem has arisen. since i am very close to getting the meizu m8 (i know where to go, how to get there) i started downloading the files available on the website. as in the (MAC+MEIZU)Syncing meizu with itunes on a MAC thread, they have given two softwares which may help. So I downloaded ItuneMyWalkman without any problems, i downloaded unrarx without any problems, and then there is one more problem which i cannot solve. i cannot use .exe files on the mac, which is the product of .rar files after they have been put through unrarx, and i only found one way to open .exe files on the mac, but sadly, it was impossible for me to get. (an old version of stuffit expander to all people who know mac stuff)

does anyone know how i could overcome my problem?

Use virtual windows and all your problems are solved .

Yes, you will need boot camp for virtual Windows.

Now wait a minute... Those exe files are supposed to run from your M8, not your computer!

you what?! you mean, i don't have to unlock them on my mac, but can just place them on the phone as an .exe file, and the phone will do the rest?!

Exactly. You know the M8 uses Windows OS, so...all programs run with an exe file.

but, you see, my mac said it couldnt open the file, so i assumed you had open before putting in on the m8...
