    Once again, like the CNMO comparison, the M8's screen looks way too blue. Could someone with a better understanding of screen technology explain what I'm seeing?

    Thanks, I added the link to the Reviews thread.
    Is this a new firmware? Because it looks much better than previously!

    True, in some pictures the M8 looks to have a slightly blue layer over it. That T-Mobile phone (is it the G1?) seems to have the best display. iPhone is way too bright and you can see rasterization.

    so far new firmware already fix some Compatible issue on WMA, Flv video format, fix Unicode problem, and speaker already lower down sound level, improve sound quality.

    This comparison is very interesting. I think we can get the following conclusions from this:
    (1) The iPhone's brigthtess range is much wider, so it gives users more choice. Hopefully this can be improved on the M8 with future firmware revisions;
    (2) At a normal viewing angle, we see that the M8's screen is a little too green, while the iPhone's is blueish. Hopefully the colour curve can be adjusted in firmware, to fix that slight extra green;
    (3) When viewed from an angle, the iPhone's screen colour varies depending on which side we are looking from. The M8 keeps a constant screen colour from every side;
    (4) With increased viewing angles, the M8's screen preserves an almost constant image, while the iPhone's fades into dim bue oblivion. (the M8 really crushes the iPhone on this test);

    So I guess that besides (1) and (2), which can hopefully be fixed through firmware, the M8 screen is actually much better than the iPhone's!

    Wow, when did the M8 screen become much brighter? Is this due to new firmware?

    Also, when viewing the two screens at a normal angle, the M8 screen seems to have a bluer hue, while the iPhone holds a magenta tint.

    I think the new firmware focuses on nerfing the light sensor, so that it will not change the brightness too much in dim conditions.

    The iPhone has a sensor on the front to automatically control the brightness under different lighting, if you are in a dark room it will dim the lighting on the screen so it doesn't hurt your eyes and when it's bright it makes the screen brighter. This is a feature of the iPhone that can be turn on/off. Not sure if the M8 has the same feature but this would explain why some pics of the iphone screen look darker.

    Wow, the high pixel density of the M8 screen is really evident next to the iPhone.
    Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!
