Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi, thanks for trying to answer questions from this board, excellent idea!

Have you tried to install various WinMo applications, Free and non-free? Based on previous reviews and info, it seems it is a hit and miss situation, some work, some half-work, some do not work at all.
I am especially interrested in those:
-mdict (dictionary/wikipedia offline viewer)
-microsoft ebook reader
-tomtom navigator
-.NET based applications (.NET environment work?)
-any other free applications (metro, games, ...), the more tested the better
This is imho the biggest point, if the M8 has no compatibility with WinMo at all, it is not too interresting at the moment: It will become usefull only if it is a big success and attract devellopers, else it is just a media-playing phone with a nice screen and gimmicky UI :-/ I think m! has not the internal ressource to create enough applications alone to compete with Apple, android or WinMo smartphones...
-how long does it run on one battery charge in real-world usage (a few phone calls, a few songs, browsing documents and appointments,...
-what bluetooth peripherals does it recognize? GPS? handfree sets? keyboard?
-J Wong have said USB-host was not implemented, but what happen when connecting a low power USB device to the m8 (keyboard? or especially, USB keys?). Any detection at all?
-accuracy of the touch screen: if some note-taking or drawing application is included, is it possible to draw a crude sketch on the screen that is recognizable? I often use my PDA for this, to show small pictures to help people who do not understand any language I speak understand me...)
Thanks, I hope other will find those questions relevant too :-)

Hi !
I just want to know if you can assign different ringtones for each contact you have, and displaying their photo when they call ?
And I have seen many pictures of the M8 with the AppStore-like icon on the bottom-right corner, do you have it ? Or did Meizu mentioned when it will be enabled ?
Thank you =)

Hi zhangxiaol,
That's a very old version of Meizucenter you used for the screenshot.
But I don't wanted to know wether it works with the MeizuCenter (okay, now I want to know that xD), I wanted to know the folder structure you see at the explorer when it is connected to the computer.
A screenshot like that...

(That's the M6's folder structure)
...would be great.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYou should search google for "pocketpc" programs. I suspect more of those would run on the M8.

12-12-2008 #73zhangxiaolu: download some WinCE registry editor and see if there's a "Launch50" key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/int. If there is, try changing its value from whatever it is to explorer.exe.Is there anyway to get into WinCE-mode? Without M8's UI.
