As far as I know the white will not be available at launch. I don't know how long after launch it will be come available though. Maybe they will surprise us all and start shipping it soon after or even surprise us more and decide to launch it at the official release of the phone. But I doubt it.

JW has said the speaker is the highest standard speaker available in a phone on the market to date. So I trust the quality will be great. For Chinese people, a speaker is a must. Everyday people listen to their music from their phones without earphones. [sarcasm] So all can enjoy [/sarcasm]

As far as I know it uses 3 speakers. One is the one you listen to while normally speaking on the phone. Most likely this one isn't able to go very loud. From pictures I've seen there are 2 speaker holes on both sides of the phone, so it'll be stereo.

And for god's sake don't let it be able to play music through those...

Which should be punishable by cutting off ears.

tails2 is unfortunately right. From my viewpoint, it seems this trend has accelerated only very recently in China, say within the last 6 months. Hopefully when it reaches critical mass there will be a public backlash.
