Meizu aren't the best at keeping release dates. Even if you had a date, it wouldn't be something to go on.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

I believe the current M8 was supposed to be released in 2007 Q4.

The M8 3G will probably come out by Q2 of 2010

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWell this time they are far ahead on the software. And in the news lately there were lots of talk about one chip systems. That is one single chip handles gms,edge,3g,wifi,bluetooth, wimax, gps.... So that might be a big time saver as well and make thing a lot cheaper.

Yeah, based on these factors my guess is that the 3G Meizu M8 will be released within 6 months after the release of the regular Meizu M8.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI think the 3G version will be on sale soon. I don't think that they will redesign UI, maybe some changes in case.
They've a M8, so they only have to make some changes, not a new device.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI am rather curious about the possibility of having Tegra (nvidia's SoC) as the processor of the next version. I asked about that before but nobody seems to know. If the numbers for tegra chips are correct, the battery life would be extremely good as well.
But I think chances are not that great. Microsoft is rumored to partner with Nvidia to work on tegra-based smartphones.I don't know how the industry works but don't think meizu can get ahead of the big boys in the line for those chips.

If Meizu continues to use Microsoft products when developing their own products then I see no reason for Microsoft to stand in the way of Meizu utilizing the processors. Think about it. It's all good for Microsoft as Meizu have to pay to use Windows on their mobiles. Either way, Microsoft still gets paid.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsi definitely agree but my statement was about mostly nvidia not microsoft. nvidia might prefer bigger players like microsoft, motorola, lg at the expense of meizu.
