whats the difference between WiFi and WLAN????
So the M8 has wifi, but i read a member saying that it doesnt have Wlan, but tought they where the same, i have a wireless router at home to which my itouch and laptop connect to, is that wiff or wlan? can someone please clear this up for me

Both are different names for the 802.11 wireless networking protocol. Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity, WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network. So essentially, they're the same.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsActually, WiFi is the connection, WLAN is the network. Small difference and it doesn't matter, in common language it both means a wireless connection.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsit has wifi, but only the test version has it. and i am using one with wifi. there is small difference between wifi and wlan, but as the guys upstairs put it, you can consider them the same.
