Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postswhat i would like to know in a review...
...is : how will the support be on windows.
meaning:
if i would plug a m8 in win2k, would it show up as a portable storage space?
How is the battery capacity in normal use?
how is the battery holding up while charging it often?
how fast will the acces be trough usb?
will the device charge ons usb connection?
how stable will the device be, for not having data loss on frequnet reboot of software?
stupid questions but i am tired of taking my usb stick with me everywhere cause it contains my thunderbird profile folder for private and work related storage

@MartijnGP
It's not quite true that newer batteries hold their capacity forever (or in your words die only because of heat). NiCd batteries used to have a memory effect (I don't know if this is the correct term in english; correct me please) if charged not fully discharged. NiMH and LiIon/LiPoly batteries don't have this problem, meaning they can be charged (nearly) regardless of their capacity state. But NiMH and LiIon/LiPoly batteries have also a limited lifetime. This lifetime depends on many factors. The worst thing for a LiIon/LiPoly battery is a thing called "Tiefentladung" (hopefully someone can translate this). Also the quality (or manufacturer) of the battery is important. The one of my 3 year old ibook is of best quality and I recharge it at least once a day. Even though it provides my ibook with power for at least 3 hours (when new it could last 5 hours). At my office there are notebook batteries that lost half of their capacity after half a year. So hopefully meizu will provide us with good quality batteries....
Cheers Wolfgang

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI believe ''Tiefentladung'' means that a battery is drained under a certain voltage, which causes irreversible damage. They are usually equipped with a safety device to avoid this though, so a lithium-ion battery is never -really- empty.

My question is if they have gotten rid of the "Update Music List" system and replaced it with something more efficient.

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststhanks for the responses!
i do not hope so, cause i have no admin acces on my win2k device, so i´m not able to install anymaybe you need Windows Mobile Center
battery holdingindeed that is what i hope, cause it will be connected for more then 8 h a day with usb, i understand my battery wont last a normal lifetime, but still hoping it will at least 6 months or better. (hey thats why i like meizu m8 instead of iphone, i can switch the battery!)So hopefully meizu will provide us with good quality batteries
in my case i dont need it, cause the meaning will be that the m8 will convert to be a real data storage for my .eml files thunderbird will open this filefolder automaticly.ActiveSync
(how ever i do hope somehow i can read out the .eml with an email client on m8 it self)
thanks for the hint, but it is no option cause my profile is connected with private data from home with a pop3, 1 gmail account and one imap from the office. so the reason i carry my stick everyday is cause i got a ton of mails i cant lose and need everywhere to be able to work.Try an only web access and storage service such as Gmail.

I want to know if Meizu spent some extra cash and upgraded the audio codec they've been using in the M6/M3 or if they stuck with tried-and-true WM8987.

That's what I meant! And it's true with the safty device. Under certain circumstances (for example if you leave the battery uncharged for a certain time) the safety device is useless.
@SteveMB93:
My ibook is a 12" G4/1.33 GHz from mid 2005. It was the best deal I ever made with a notebook. It runs smooth without any changes (I upgraded RAM to 1,5 GB though). But never needed to install from scratch or some other sort of things used to when using a Windows PC/Notebook.
Cheers Wolfgang
