lol, you know you've made a good knockoff when you're being knocked off yourself

Good! Competition is great for everybody. I hope that this knock off has good software (unlikely).

I think the hardest part for the clone engineers is replicating multitouch and Meizu's audio quality.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsSo basically they built the same hardware and will use Meizu's firmwares? Is that possible?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWho said the same hardware? Usually these clones use a lousy MTK chipset. And like also pointed out the software is usually the most disappointing part. They should have went with android instead. Because these guys don't have after support anyway.

I just hope people don't buy this and then come here crying later.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

But a seller can put the clone in a real M8 box, and sell it as a M8 without the buyer knowing. The seller can also have a no-return policy.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer

But... We still have PayPal insurance up to several thousand dollars. Rex got a counterfeit iPod, reported the seller, and got his money back.

Heheh mbarry, like Jk said, that's exactly what happened to me. They put a fake iPod nano into the real iPod nano case and sent it to me. When you have a fake device, trust me, you'll know it. Only someone without the slightest knowledge about the product they're buying could mistaken a fake for the real thing after using the device. We're well-informed Meizu <3 Me users, so that's not something we have to worry about.
For example, my fake iPod nano had a click wheel that could only be used like a button. It wasn't touch sensitive. . .= =;;. Something like a fake Memory Stick Pro Duo is a little harder to distinguish from the real thing, but that's another story.
In the end, I got all my money back minus $15 for shipping. I also got to keep the device. Someone offered me around $150 for it the next day ~(^x^)~.
You're probably wondering why I was even trying to buy an Apple product. Well...I was in love with this girl. She convinced me to buy an iPod and brought me to the dark side (but I never got one since the one I bought was fake)
. Eventually I convinced her to ditch Apple by giving her a full explanation of the concept of predetermined obsolescence.

No evow04! I didn't sell it to the 3 or 4 people who wanted it. I told them that I didn't want them to be unsatisfied because even though the device can listen to the radio, record audio, watch video, and look at images - the build quality is terrible. The click wheel isn't even actually touch-sensitive.
I just didn't want to rip anyone off for such a cheap device. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night!
