they just use compatible hardware, a suitable bootloader and a firmware upgrade to make it work like an original, but logicly it doesnt work so great as the oem equipment.
(an other option is taking a simpler os, place look a like menu and icons )

yes but why can they use the firmware upgrade? Why can Meizu not simply be a specific ID, which means only that ID is running the system. And the ID is only on one device applications.

Wait this thing runs on M8 firmware? Then what's so bad about it? If it runs exactly like an M8, then why not if it's cheaper?

Maybe the 'clone' M8 it's build quality is low? I also prefer the real M8

@mbarry it won't necessarily be the same. My colleague was showing me a website the other day of fake phones. For example, you can find a fake iPhone that actually doesn't use the cognitive(?) interface, or one where the camera is only 1mega pixel .... They clone it, but are successful only to a certain degree.

It's in Chinese though. And please, I would not encourage you to buy these fakes. You would be very disappointed.

There's a reason why we're all here guys. Think about it. Meizu is the only company in China that has made a device that can compete with the iPhone. If another company is able to do this, we would be in their forum, not this one. This clone's quality is mediocre - take my word for it. If this clone was as strong as the M8, the company who made it would be quite popular. These guys can't even make the "m" button look right.

I've seen better attempts at the Apple logo.
