Anyone know if you will be able to put any software you want on the m8?

Since its windows ce, this means that we will be able to view documents on word, excel, etc, right??? Also this means that we can transfer files from the computer on there, right? And this means that we can install windows mobile games on our computer and transfer it to our meizu m8, right? (please say yes)

isn't windows ce 6.0 supposed to be open and supposed to be like exactly like windows mobile 6.0, with the same formatting, right, so that means we can put whatever we want on it like doucuments, games, mobile programs, etc, right

    thanks

    Sorrymac.

VLC had a WinCE project, but they "put it down" before they got anything usable.

You can run exe files designed for WinCE - Win32Exes in general will not work.

talhaismail please don't open two threads with the same questions...we have enough threads already, and believe me all the information is there, you just have to look around a bit.

i am quite sure that you can't run exe on m8 (i had a wince6.0 gps).
all the softwares are waiting to be transplanted now.

jw had metioned that m8 had a plan to open the sdk and provide a software market on line.

maybe recently there are not so many softwares that can be applied on m8.

as i remember, jw had mentioned that java is not supported on m8 (i am not quite sure)

I hope Flash is available.... So I can create games or other Flash based applications for it

EDIT: Great! Java is supported Going to learn programming in it with Computer Science soon. And, as Java looks like PHP and C#, it'll be easier to learn if you know PHP or C#

Is there any new information ?

If there is not way to install Windows Mobile/ PocketPC applications to the Meizu M8, the device will be pretty much useless. So let's hope Windows CE is able to run all the apps provided for Windows Mobile.

Yes, but this is most likely in Chinese, making it fairly hard to develop on the SDK.

why right? dont u use google right? and do a search right? to find windows ce apps right? as your question right? is more in relation to the OS right? than the phone itself right?

    hope that makes sense right?

    Regards right?

You can almost be guaranteed there will be a huge amount of apps created by the chinese community. The only problem will be if they have English or not

Hopefully, coz my reading level of Chinese sucks. I don't wanna have my wife sitting over my shoulder anytime I wanna play a game or use an app, she won't be too happy about that
