Meizu M8 Unlocked or Locked?

Is the phone going to be unlocked or is it going have a plan (like the iphone is activated with at&t)? So, is the m8 going to unlocked, or is j.wong going to make is so it comes with a plan?

The hole point of the phone (as I see it) it to be an alternitive to the Iphone for people how cant or don't want to pay for the plans for 2 years only with AT&T and a cheap version of it. So, yes. It should be unlocked. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thing he said he might make a phone for the companies that dont use a sim (forgot the name).

That's what I said but I meant it's like the Iphone because the big touch screen, same layout and UI.

It would make no sense to lock the m8. Nobody would by a meizu m8 if it would cost the same "nothing one EURO and we will rip you off in 2 years" (for example here in Germany) as an iphone. I would never sign such ripoff contracts. I always try to buy a phone without branding/netlock/simlock. So when will the m8 be released....

i dunno about worldwide sales, but no phone is locked in China or HK, as far as i know. the worst thing that can happen to it, is that it has a branded theme (like China Mobile or something)
