    以下是引用J.Wong在2008-11-3 21:36:00的发言:
    如果月底还不能拿到入网许可,急的魅友签内测协议我就给你测试m8,当然保证金要比2008高
JW: if by month end still can't getting Network access license, impatient fans if willing to sign "internal test agreement" (something like NDA) i will give u to test M8. but money is more than 2008rmb.

    以下是引用J.Wong在2008-11-3 22:22:00的发言:

    上市版多了一张入网许可证
JW: on market version will have extra Network access license sticker

    ask on batteries performance
    以下是引用J.Wong在2008-11-4 0:23:00的发言:

    不怎么玩其他功能,光电话和短信我能用2天.
    玩其他功能比如上网视频什么的就不好说了

JW: if just use phone and messages i can last for 2 day. but if play other funtion like online, video and other than nothing good to said ...

Is he saying that if he can't get the license by the end of November, he will sell M8 test versions?

I think that's China-only, because you have to sign the agreement...

He probably using his phone a lot in 2 days, so the battery life sounds normal. But what does he mean by "no good to said"? It's so bad he's not going to tell us?

I think so. Maybe he means there's nothing good to say about the battery life when using video/other applications.

ya, he means there's nothing good to say about the battery life for other application.
he not going to tell, because battery life is quite sensitive issue in china, most of fans is not experiance in smartphone with Wifi, so is hard for them to accept M8 have “short battery” life, usually china clone phone can last many day event provide 2 battery.

but from tester info, M8 with Wifi active can last about 4 hours+-, or 3~4hours for Video playing.

I'm sure there will be a higher capacity battery available in a few months after it's release. 3-5 hours of video would be nice, and at least 10-15 hours of music too. But I can live with it if I have to charge it every day...doesn't really matter for me.

Actually it is kinda good to charge the battery everyday. Then you will never be out of battery. I had a Motorola a925 for some years ago that needed to be charged everyday.

This is not informative at all... 2 days could be either very good or very bad, depending on how much JW has been using it. A much better info would be how long it can last both in stand-by mode and during a phone call.

If he means 2 days under regular phone and message usage, then that's a very poor battery life. My old SE V600i can do that, and it's more that 4 years old already.

This is what happens when you use a 16 million colour 720x480 display and only a 1500mah battery. I could have told them that before they starting building it, it was always going to have battery issues. Anyone ever wonder why most phones have low res displays and only 62,000 colours?
