    Good-bye Meizu M8

Like many of you, I have read these forums, trying to get every bit of information, pics, & videos of the M8. I've waited for a very long time and have since seen features I want and network compatibility go away for CDMA for a version of the M8. I have 4 lines on Verizon with a very good family plan. I didn't give it up for iPhone, I won't give it up for the M8 if there's no CDMA.

I will, however be the first in line for the BlackBerry Storm: when it comes out from Verizon exclusively (hopefully soon). But I will be keeping my eye on the M8 as I have been fan of it for a long time and I'm still rooting for it.

    Cheers!

There will be no such thing of a CDMA version of the M8, since China's major network is GSM.

They could make and sell a CDMA version in the US, if they wanted to. I work for a major retail chain and they sell the M6 there. So why not a CDMA version of the M8?

    Hint: Search Results | Walgreens

Or you can choose to look at it from the other side.

Why don't the US change to GSM?

Why don't they change to the metric system?

It would be about time now :P

If I were Meizu I would release a CDMA version as well. There would be lots of Sprint, Virgin Mobile (they don't have any good phones), MetroPCS, and Cricket customers who would want an M8, no doubt.

Or maybe they don't need the US to make money?

Maybe it's just more trouble than it's worth, when THE ENTIRE REST OF THE WORLD uses GSM.

Couldn't be too much trouble. What would you have to do? Just switch out a few chips basically?

The entire rest of the world also uses Windows. I choose not to.

Look, regardless of who makes it, I want a touch-screen phone, ala iPhone, that doesn't suck, and works on the CDMA network because that is what my current carrier has. Looks like the BB Storm fits the bill.

I'd guess it's too much trouble. Why don't Nokia etc. release more CDMA phones? They have lots of GSM ones, if it would be easy they would do it. And they have experience with CDMA, Meizu doesn't.

Why were you waiting for the M8 if the iphone suited your needs? that makes very little sense to me.
