恩,目前m8的usb写入速度不理想,我们最新拿到的movinand测试每秒4.6MB,第一批买进用在 内测版的movinand只有2兆多,估计到明年第2季度生产的movinand写入速度才能 突破6MB/S

currently M8 USB writing speed is not ideal (not Satisfy）, we geeting latest MoviNAND flash, after testing able to get 4.6MS/s write speed. The first batch M8 internal test unit only have 2MB/s. estimate next year 2nd quarter MoviNAND by samsung only able to write more than 6MB/s.

due can't support dual screen, like M8 and TV open at same time, like this TV-out not able to control M8 , so i cancel the funtion, hopefully next generation will make it better on this.


USB-OTG, required add 5v power and have compatible issue, quite Troublesome, now storage become bigger so not required on it , so i cancel it.

Yay! I was glad to hear that!

After hearing this I getting the 3G version! Little mad I have to wait even more! but wait apple could release a 32gig Iphone by then or even worst 60! They should change it from 16gb to 32 or higher on the 3G version because 16 is not enough when it release by that time.

about the 32GB version, its not technically possible now, since the moviNand flash chips currently produced are a maximum capacity of 8gb (the 16gb m8 will have 2 of these chips)
so we will probably see a possibility for a 32gb version as soon as samsung starts producing 16gb movinand chips (wich could take a couple of months, who knows...)

Not sure I still want one:
No USB-OTG and no memory slot is a big dissapointment, basically without PC you are stuck for transfering anything to your phone.
And Wong is basically dropping most of the features that distinguished m8 from the competition...
Meizu planning to take 30% from software developpers? WTF? Do they tink they are Apple or what?
I will read the reviews when m8 is out, but I think that those answers killed the device for me: with the delays and those new removal from the spec list (no OTG, no TV out, wifi unsure, bundled applications unsure and likely minimal at first, planning to cash on software (which is a sure way to kill any possibility of healthy software ecosystem)) , it is just not really interresting anymore, not really special and much more risky support-wise compared to competitors, especially considering it is unlikely to be available in Europe before 2009...

Anyway, thanks for the translation, this clarify a lot of things, even if it is for the worst...

This is not acceptable, it is the (almost exact) equivalent of iTunes, with the possible benefit that Meizu will be more tolerant in the software the accept, but with the big drawback that there is no way Meizu offer something as big as Apple.
I far prefer decentralized approach, where you surf the web to find softs, usually downloading it from the developpers website directly.
30% margin for software distribution, in the time of internet, is a ripoff, plain and simple...

yeah I have to admit that this is fairly dissapointing. I mean no OTG and No TV-out really does remove 2 great advantages the M8 had over the iphone. also when J.Wong says >>>

This to me implies to me that there will be no accelerometer. This would certainly be another blow. Also good DIVX/Xvid support is still not guaranteed and neither is high res RMVB or FLV. The software payment issues are not too bad IMO and not a major thing for me but with no accelereomter we won't be getting the type of games or fun apps available on the iphone. Another big concern is flash support. With no flash again the phone is at a considerable dissadvantage as the iphone at least has specific apps for big sites like youtube, bbc iplayer and facebook etc.

Although I think the interface should be better than systems like winmo, we must also remember that there will not be as big a community behind it and even things like google maps and other things won't be present. I will have to wait for a full review to properly make a decision as It has got less appealing. The main big advantage I think is the price though.

Unfortunately I don't think that it will be able to rival the iphone for functionality now as most of the advantages that compensated for the iphones 3G, GPS, MAPS, APPS etc seem to be slipping away.

That has been known for a long time.

I will be really disappointed if there really wont be an accelerometer in it. Without that it won't be a valid option next to an iPhone...

If they will exclude Wifi too, then, its hard to say, but i will have to consider buying an iphone..
