What B-frame incident?

J Wong said a few months ago that they realized the processor could not handle B-frame video decoding, and would have to research into a new processor and redesign hardware and delay release until Q1 - Q2 of 2009. Big uproar in meizu bbs, and J Wong gave in. He did not change hardware, added more memory, and had video decoded through software.

I see. If they did delay it, for the umpteenth time, I'll bet everyone that would want this phone including me would be very pissed off.

all we can do is hope the processor will be fast enough for the software decoding, and it will not drain the battery too fast...
hopefully for the redesigned version with 3G they will have the hardware support ready becouse the battery life will be longer and playback will be more smoothly.

here's a question: the phone will sync with WMP, most probably, but you aren't able to edit playlists in WMP/MTP devices, as far as I can tell (I've had 3 of them, and currently use one).

What you can do is edit the ones on the computer, and sync them on to the player again, which, with some players cause multiple copies of the same songs to show up, even without any tag changes. That is really annoying, and happens on my player sometimes.

Any idea if Meizu is on to this problem? I know that the Ipod has allowed you to edit playlists through ITunes/Winamp/MMonkey for a while, and given how closely Meizu has been following the design of the IPhone, I'm hoping that they picked up on this as well, since everyone knows that playlists on the M6 were one of its few big negatives.

Also, is there any way to send the play history on to a database like Last.FM? I currently scrobble on my Toshiba T400, and that's really the only reason I've hung on to it for so long (cheap as hell now, though).

I found these images on the bbs, apparently they are some new advertising for the m8, and according to these it will have the 800 mhz processor...M8's pic looks weird though...

The picture shows the battery is 1200mah but in the specs page on meizume its says 1400mah.?!

It seems to weak for 800Mhz and 720x480 screen resolution anyway.
But what is more important for me: therefor M8 will be small. And one should be able to reload once a day the internal battery.
