I havnt botherd to read through this thread , Too long , But ,Ive wated the video , and come to some conclusions.
The Phone looks the part , Definatly got an amazing design , and they did a great job of the firmware customisations , I did read a few comments on a first page aboiut people saying that they should just realease it and allow us to update the firmware , well that is very difficult considering its windows CE , Dont expect updates really on the core stuff.

Another pointer is that it does lag , very slightly , but noticable , I have a Ipod touch , Iphone , and samsun tocco , Now you can definatly see lag switching from the touch to the M8 , not a issue really , But there is a little lag in the GUI , its hardly noticable and not a problem.
Another thing is you notice a little lag when he zooms in on the picture , but they have perfected the scrolling across part.

I must say though , I do prefer my tocco to the Iphone for use of a phone , I dont need the wifi and my tocco has 3g , a decent camera , and fits very nicley in my pocket , the iphone is just too big for my pockets For these reasons , I will get the M8 as a PDA (If i get one) and not use it as a phone.
Now other than this , The device looks amazing , definatly more powerful than the iphone , spec wise , far superior.

I too would like to see a card slot aswell of some sort Perhaps two , An external minisd and internal standard SD , would be useful , although im doubtful.

Yes, I would agree about the lag but this isn't even the finally version.

Does anyone think that the M8 might include an expandable memory slot in the future? Since flash memory has a finite amount of write/erase cycles, I don't want to destroy the M8's memory by eventually wearing it out .

    Geez.

How many years are you going to use the M8?

    20?

The write/erase cycle problem is not a problem unless all you do is write and delete. A lot.

Over an extensive amount of time.

Flash memory is quite reliable, more so than hard drives at least.

Just one, because I'm only moderator in M6 forums.

ps.: damn, this video is a bit longer (+5-10 seconds than the youtube version), he taps on the Web button and the video ends. Pretty annoying :D

    Hopefully no bloatware required

i hope that we're not required to install any bloatware, like itunes, in order to manage our jp-actress videos and pics

Since the M6 and M3 dont need any iTunes-like crap, I'm sure the M8 won't need it either.

Maybe they will release an app to sync your phone with your pc, but I'm sure you can place music and videos on it using any program with the ability to do so.

It'll probably be compatible with Vista's sync center.

It's WINDOWS CE, so it will sync with XP/Vista and Outlook without any trouble. And you will be able to drag and drop your files (music, videos, whatsoever) to your M8 or you can use the software you prefer (Winamp, WMP, ...). Why? Because it's Microsoft, not Apple! Although MS gives you the ability to use all the programs you want to use, MS is "evil" and Apple is "good", though they dictate you, which software you are allowed to use.
