Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostWell, maybe I was a bit rude using the word "idiot", and I apologize for that.
But I never said they copied anything. They are indeed quoting and referencing the source, and that's legit. The problem is just that there are no news to quote here, and their "article" is absolutely ridiculous (no offense). This is just a 2 page (now 3) thread where users are killing time with a "chicken or egg" discussion.
Sorry, but I don't want to give them my email or create an account there or whatever, just to post a comment.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIf by idiot you mean a guy who simply wants to smoke the rat (M8) out of its hole, then I am guilty of being an idiot. We've been chasing the M8 for over a year, almost 2 years really. So what gives?

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostCome on man, I already presented my apologies for that... that was very rude of me, and I am sorry.
However, you must understand that your article has no real grounds where to stand. You're quoting the (alarmist) opinion of a single user and a few replies with the normal sharing of opinions/gossip - IMHO that's absurd for a "news post".
My thoughts exactly.

Jack must be really stressed out for writing a thing like that, almost sounds a little aggressive.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

You've got to be kidding when you say they're quoting and reference the source... C'mon, it's pretty much the same as when err0r and I made april fool's this and past year, is it real news?. Could you take any thread started by anyone as a SOURCE specially when there's no other sources you can check?
If so, and you don't even check the facs you have, you're just posting missleading information and I think that's just plain stupid and noob when it comes from a source most of us check frecuently and that is referenced time to time by bigger blogs such as engadget or gizmodo.
Just my two cents.Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postssorry marcelo1251 but i am unsure whay you are having a go here.
This is simple, PMPtoday saw something on thsi forum (the source) and decided to reference it on their site, as they have done before, they quoted and linked back to this site as it was the SOURCE of the information the saw
Then they get called idiots and that they were "copying this news "
All i said was that it was unfair to call names and say they copying as this was wrong, The only thing they got wrong was that they misinterpreted the information, quite easily done.
Meizume is very much the source of information on meizu for us non Chinese people and they trust it for information and constantly quote and reference it, because someone got it wrong is no crime and should not be attacked in such a way, as a moderator of this site i find your words and attitude a little rude and confrontational.
People believe this site which is why you April fools jokes are believed, not the fault of the sites that report that news, how are they to know you were playing a joke
Next time why doesn't someone just point out to the referencing site that they have the wrong idea rather than attacking them
just my two cents

Aren't meizu's other mp3 players becoming a little dated at this point? They have to release something eventually to keep the company afloat.

I don't think PMP Today were copying news. They wrote something, and cited the source, which is the standard in blogging today.
The article was a bit sensationalist, but if the audience likes drama - why not? Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Trust me, the most the M8 will sell is in China. Have you seen how big there fan forum is? It's huge. If I remember correctly, Jack Wong said that the M8 would have a type of multi-touch (or was it similar to TouchFlo?).

Meh, Meizu is a "brand-name" product in China, and it's one of the higher end products. Have you seen the cheap "mp4s" they sell there? There's a direct iPod nano 3G knockoff that you can use for about a month, the slightly better iPod nano 1G knockoff that lasts for about a year, and then there's Meizu, which hasn't failed by itself for many people.
Yes, many people broke their screens, yes many people have upgraded their firmware incorrectly. But is this not the case with Apple as well? Yes! So don't complain about Meizu making crappy "mp4s", because the cause of the problem was the end-user.
