Yep, I agree, since I have an ipod touch, I get laid everynight with a supermodel, my boss offered my a promotion, but I refused it because our competitor offered me twice the salary for half the reponsabilities, I have lost weight and my hair are growing back. I am not so sure yet when to buy the iPhone 2, cause I think I may not be ready for the nobel price and zen enlightenment at this time in my life.

You don't have good enough eyes then. :P Or if you do have good eyes, it means you never did any graphics work before.

FYI, raster graphics have always been done in "true" color then downsampled to the color depth of the target system. Also most scanners work at 48-bit color, and there are some which even work with 96-bit.

And yes, 32 bit is 24 bit color + alpha channel (transparency). The functions that the M8 will do don't need transparency, so if they can push it to 24-bit when displaying web pages, pictures and movies it'll look pretty damn good. 16-bit for UI and icons is enough, but i hope they'll get 24-bit at least on the web and images.

my eyes are not good, they are grat (so says the doc) but i didn't notice any significant change on my desktop, in firefox or some other apps i tried

- hvga screen with smooth GUI
- large coverart (free dl iTunes)
- "smart" playlists (most played; recently added; specific genres - LOADS of options through iTunes)
- Internet capabilities, Safari
- Jailbreak/Appstore adds more functions (skin UI, comicreader, p2p)

Yes i kept it brief with fanmode turned off

I need 24bit for web-browsing and watching images.

As for movies I don't care this much.
