When do YOU think the M8 will be released??

Given the recent news about more possible delays and the spec sheet getting ever so gloomy, I was wondering 2 questions and was hoping everyone would give their opinion.

Question 1: What date do you think the M8 minione will be really released?

Question 2: What features from the original spec sheet do you think will be lost/downgraded when the M8 is finally released?

My opinion is this:

A.1 March 2009 will be the release date (if the go ahead and add the new delay)

September 2008 (if the delay isn't added)

A.2 I'll add this later as i have to go to work now

1) March 2009 sound a good estimation for the release date. I expect it in early 2009, between january and march. If it is not released at this time, maybe it will not be released at all and Meizu will dissapear/bought out/reborn as another company. This can happen even if the m8 is released, depending of its reception at the time, and of chinese competitors...

2) No feature will really be removed, but the codec support will not be as extensive/work as good as promised, os will be a little bit shaky, and battery life will be average...

1.I firmly believe I can get a 8GB alpha version M8 at 15, July, then change a beta version, then change a real one!!
2.I don't care, if it would be released on time!

Where abouts in china are you based?

I am based in northeast. how about you?

I'm not excited anymore, too many changes and delays. When it comes, I'll get it, but I'm still happy with my current phone.

I'm also not excited but my current phone is almost death iPhone price is to huge for me. Maybe in 2 months I'll buy one. I think the M8 will be released end of 2008 begin 2009, I also think the M8 will nothing miss because they're the whole time delaying it.....

My phone work very well, I hope it will work untill the M8 will be released.

Tbh I don't have the money to be investing in a high end handset at this time. But with all the never ending delays plus the latest news that the M8 may not support video without conversion the M8 is looking less and less attractive. I will still buy it if it ever comes out but in the mean time I will stick with what I have and when i have the money invest in a low cost ultraportable or a PMP/cross over device.

I'm thinking Early 2009 too now for an M8 release, but as we all know Meizu is so unreliable it could literally be any time form here to eternity (if ever!). I do hope they sort their problems and manage to release before 2009, but in many ways I cannot see it happening. I just hope they will have the money to continue making Mp4 players after the M8 as the M6 and M3 were good little performers. It would be a great loss if Meizu wern't to survive.

It's time to stop dreaming and face the facts, the M8 is vaporware, and by the time it is IF it is released, its specs will be nothing but common.

With the 3 month delay I'm guessing March 2009. Without the delay, December 2008.

i believe that they spend so much time on checking everything, that the alpha and beta version won't be full of bugs. So i hope it will be released in 2008

I think that the beta and alpha will have bugs, but the retail version will not have many at all.

Who the hell knows. It will be out as soon as Meizu has it working and ready to push out the door. (Until then we will be suffering through speculation and pointless threads like this one I'm afraid..)

Dez 08 coz jack show us already that meizu m8 works and its a beta of the phone so i belive he is gonna release it very soon

Summer 2013, as a retro model.

we still have to wait for the licenses before it can be released outside of china, so i hope to see somthing outside of china first quarter 2009

october/november 2008 if not first quarter 2009
