In the US, GSM phone service uses the 850 1900 frequencies. According to the Sticky be Err0r, the MiniOne is 'Quad-band GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900'.
So you can see that it is compatible with US networks, and since it will be released unlocked, you can use any providers SIM card.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postswow. for that u could get an iphone or a wide variety of other iphone clones.
the phone may be great but the reason i was interested was as a cheaper alternative to the iphone
i might just go with a cect a380i

According the to the new thread, a test version will be available for $289. It is 8GB, and an upgrade will be available for approximately $60 to upgrade to 16GB. If I were you, I would buy anything but a CECT phone. (HiPhone seems decent though)

Users outside of China, will of course not be eligible for the testing phones.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsseconded. If it had not been for Err0r's hard work in putting the forum together, I would not have known 90% of the things about Meizu products, let alone where to buy my M6. He has also done a lot to expose Meizu's potential market in regions like the EU, Scandinavia, and the US and Canada.

Err0r fanboys LOL.... dude, just don't become in an iphone please...
Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.
