Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI hate to say it, but it seems like the M8 is encountering further delays. Most companies, particularly small ones, would jump all over a chance to secure a distribution contract in a high-income market like Western Europe. To that end, if Meizu were really keen on making the M8 a success, I'd imagine they'd have at least one working model to show the press and send to distributors. Judging by an earlier post, they're apparently 3 months away from release, so having a working model now should be feasible.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsLatest Speculation on the Iphone
Aboard the iPhone speculation bus
By LEVI SUMAGAYSAY
With Forbes claiming today that the iPhone could be a Nintendo DS killer, it's time to hop on the speculation bus headed for Monday's Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Among other sure-to-be exciting developments, Apple is expected to launch the App Store for the beloved iPhone, which will let users download third-party apps, and of course, games. And iPod Touch users, Uncle Steve didn't forget about you. You get to play, too. What does the iPhone have that the DS doesn't? Well, the cachet of owning one, for one thing. Plus it's just a lot prettier. (See "Gaming the iPhone.") But it's probably way too soon to count the DS out. It has a lower price on its side -- $129.99 for the Nintendo DS Lite on Amazon.com vs. $399 and up for the iPhone at the Apple store. And the DS has owned the handheld gaming market. Back to the other sure-to-be exciting development speculation: The 3G iPhone, of course, a Mac OSX update, a .Mac facelift. And don't you feel like playing WWDC 2008 keynote bingo?
OK I Said I would try to not spark speculation but you have to admit this sounds interesting!

The iPhone is not a Nintendo DS killer. They're in two different markets. I would take gaming advice from Forbes with a grain of salt. The iPhone sucks for gaming for extended periods of time. It is not good for your health, and your fingers will hurt.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsi like psp more than ds, but feelings aside the ds is great considering the hardware in it. iphone can't kill something that has 2500 games out already.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsdon't really care about serious gaming on a phone. if i were a serious gamer (i'm not), i would probably prefer to have a dedicated system like the DS or PSP, but the IPhone could be a good platform for casual gamers looking to kill time on a commute. Also, the latest news now is that the 3G Iphone is going to be subsidized by AT&T:

I'll wait till September, and MAYBE until December. If the M8 is not out by Jan 1, 2009, I'll pick up an Iphone if it'll be selling for ~USD200.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsTomorrow is "I" Day! Wonder what this thing will look like and what it has in store for buyers?????
No matter if you hate them or not this unit has brought about a lot of design modification and theories to a great number of companies. Love or hate them, innovation such as theirs does nothing but give us phone worshipers something to get happy about. We dream that maybe just maybe we will see the companies we use the most puts something in our hands that offers a little sliver of happiness.
Hopefully M8 will be one of those slivers and hopefully it will come soon. Until then I will be playing with my new "other" shimmering sliver come the 15th when released worldwide.

Nobody cares about "I" Day. Probably an announcement for more over priced products.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostYeah, and stuff about "i" day or whatever in a thread called "Small news about M8", is off-topic to say the least.
If I wanted to read about that I wouldn't have come here.

It's gonna be iPhone2 versus weard underpowered Meizu testversion-beforethe-beta-version -> whos gonna win?!
Steve, if nobody cared about iDay that press converence would be pretty empty.
My apologies for the offtopic, but there isn;t much ontopic to talk about honestly.iPhone 3G 16 GB

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSteve,
If you read the whole post I state I want to believe and hope that the M8 will be that sliver of happiness we are all hoping for!
I like you have been waiting for this product for some time and look forward to seeing all the promises come to fruition.
Until that is done though, I need a new toy and if this "other" phone is as good as rumored I might as well throw $200 at it and then resell it like others have already stated HERE when the M8 makes it to the sales floor.
Stop Hating Steve, just swing with the knowledge that the more gadgets you play with the more you learn what you like and don't look...
It's like dating, you look for certain traits and along the way after getting to know different things you find what you are truly comfortable, happy and are willing to settle down for the long term with.

What I meant that nobody on this forum cares, other than the iFanboys. There are a TON of people that care about it, even if it is another announcement for a over hyped product.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOK Steve, You are correct it is Over Hyped.
Again i can't wait to see what the M8 will offer. It seems after reading about the Samsung 900 that it has many of the same features a the M8 including the 5mp camera.
Now though since The Company with that other Steve announced their new offering and especially the price, $199 8gb Black, $299 16gb Black or White come July 11th.
I am still in line for the M8 and will be holding out till it drops and then make up my mind as to buying it or not after all the cards are on the table.
Maybe you can tell me Steve am I incorrect that the first M8 won't have 3G?
I am not trying to start anything I am being serious as I have read multiple posts here stating that it does not come with it.
May all of you have a blessed day.

3G is not important to me at all. If it is, then the M8 is not for you. I would like a phone that has a removable battery, LOL.
