I stumbled across the m8 a couple of days ago and have decided to grab one, not sure which size yet but i will definitely be buying one!

the thing is, i live in Australia so i just wanted to get idea if anyone knew whether it would work in Australia on the vodafone network.....and also if the AC Adaptor (Charger) would work on Australian powerpoints?

Not a problem, I think, since Europe, Asia and Australia are on the same GSM band. From wikipedia: "Dual-band phones can cover GSM networks in pairs such as 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies (Europe, Asia, Australia and Brazil)" Since Asia is the most important market in the first place and Europe is pretty big for Meizu as well, I don't think it's a problem.

Regarding the adapter: Good chance the importer will take care of that, or (if not) you could always get one of those universal converters or something. Actually, if there IS an importer, you can count on the phone working in Australia as well.

Mind you: this all is not based on facts, just what seems likely to me.

Yea it will work. And the charger...If the one you get sent doesn't fit in our Australian powerpoints you can just get an adapter from Dick Smith or Tandy for like $20 or something.

By the way, you know the M8 isn't out yet right?

I remember seeing the accessories somewhere for the M8. It could have been on one of the CeBit photos, I'm not sure but I definately saw it somewhere. It looks to be the exact same style charger as the M6 so hopefully it is 100% the same and people who already have an M6 can charge it using that charger.

M8 will work and I'm pretty sure the charger will be like most phones, working at an input voltage of 100v~240v, so no worries there. Just change the plug head I reckon...

I really want one now, why is it so slow...

charger is not an issue; i haven't used the meizu charger once, since i got my m8; it can charge via USB - even if you turn the phone off and connect it to a powered computer the phone will charge - very useful while travelling as don't have to worry about chargers etc...

Don't use USB to recharge ur cell phone as long as u can. It is not good for it due to low voltage. The Socket that fit charger of M8 can be found on most Chinese supermarket. Or u can buy a new charger from most digital store as well.
