Meizu M8 at Cebit?

All -

It's more than obvious that everyone is exited about CEBIT starting in a few hours as well as Meizu taking part of this worldwide event.

While it's true that the M8 is at this point the main topic in here and some other forums, we all need to realize that there's a lot of gossiping here and there, some saying it will be a Meizu M8 there, others saying it will not but, we need to be focused on something: Nobody can't tell right now but J. Wong.

Please people stop bashing Meizu as I'm 100% sure you perhaps went to Engadget and saw their post, which at the end comes from unknown sources, they didn't even say a name of any of the Meizu representatives, we have seen plenty of Apple fanboyism there and several posts bashing Meizu and their products.

I'm not defending Meizu neither, I do feel a bit upset about M8 taking that long but, why don't we wait for real news from CEBIT prior judging or making up stories?

Please use only this thread to discuss, we will be posting news as soon as we get them.

Thanks

In my opinion, at this point, this is an unnecessary thread. There are two or three threads about Meizu and Cebit. The solution in my opinion, would be agregating every posts in one of the two or three threads.

Just my two cents...

All closed and moved already. There's no point on having several non-sense posts in several non-sense threads with missinformation confusing people. Please understand.

engadget visited the stand before the show....

Meizu's M8 a CeBIT no show just like CES -- surprised? - Engadget

There was also a post by J.Wong in the Chinese forum about it but we have yet to figure out exactly what it says, we need a proper translator >>>

A stand with nothing in there because the show haven't started yet..

Honestly I can't see the Meizu reps that Engadget talked to neither....

BTW is it just me or there's a typo on Meizu's Name?

Not sure I understand your conclusion here. Most of the posts in the removed threads were made by respected members who have followed the development of the M8 for a considerable time, referring to them as
non-sense posts in several non-sense threads
is a little harsh.

with misinformation confusing people.
At this stage it is all the information available and there is no evidence that it is incorrect despite the source.

Should future information prove otherwise all good and well and I am sure members posts will reflect this, however I think it is a sad day when fine forums such as this start censoring their content by removing current and relevant active threads by members who are only expressing their disappointment rather than
bashing Meizu
.

It's a safe bet that a lot of people are going to be disappointed; at the same time, diehard fans are probably going to see enough to keep their hopes burning.

If they're going to show, according to Mr. Wong, "an engineering prototype and 2 development boards", it sounds like what everyone has already seen via Meizu's BBS & leaked photos. Also, he states the protoype's plastics/materials are not what will be used on the production version.

Based on that, J Wong says that "Meizu's goals for CeBIT have been achieved and anyone who understands the technologies the M8 is using will see enough to know what the device is capable of". Let's hope Meizu's customers & fans agree with his assessment. I already know which side of the disappointment/hopes burning coin my feelings fall.

And yeah, removing the previous threads was a bit heavy-handed considering many posts were by longtime members, but hey, not my forum nor my rules.

I'm not censoring people at all. Everyone is invited to come up and write back, my concern is that there were a lot of new threads used to discuss just gossiping... that's my point.

Perhaps I did not make myself clear and I apologize for that, I didn't mean to say that everything wrote on those threads was garbage, just that is missinformation in general.

Put yourself in the place of someone new to Meizu... you got here and see all that mess, What would you think? What would you believe is true? What would you think about the community?

That is my conclusion.

Offtopic: Don't agree with the closed topics being filled with crap, but i guess 1 single topic is much easier to post in. Sick forum posting spree yesterday :P

Anyway, CeBIT should have started somewhat more than an hour ago. Keep an eye for Engadget or the Meizu BBS (some say it's slow right now).

But still I can't really figure out the conclusion from Err0rs frontpage-topic -> is it or is it not being shown? (a working prototype)
