Though I don't wanna say anything, someone are always trying to pretend as professional guys. (read next sentence for reason to say this)

Dsiplay screen and touch screen are totally diffirent components, display screen of M8 is from Samsung, but not touch screen.

M8 is really good production with many advanced tech. from excellent international companies.

We will take one M8 prototype and 2 mainboards to Germany, although we didn't achieve in multi-touch, we can give a formal explanation to all who are concerning M8.

M8 can only use single-touch to demo at the moment, but we are sure of that it will be soon to achieve multi-touch .

We cordially welcome valued mobile operators, retail chains and distributors to visit our booth at CeBIT 2008 for a meeting and discussion about M8.
    ================================================== ====

    以下是引用J.Wong在2008-3-2 21:33:00的发言:
    显示屏就是显示屏,触摸屏就是触摸屏,不同的2个部件.
display screen is just display screen, and so it is the same as touch screen, the two diffirent components.

The way for producing iPhone is to stick display screen(around 2mm), touch screen (0.5mm glass) and surface protection glass(around 1mm) together.

Screens of iPhone are produced in Toshiba and au seperately, then are send to touch screen manufacturer in China to be combined togeter.

But it is not used for the later iPod touch. Screens for touch sticks touch screen and protection glass up, and this step can be finished in Touch screen factory, with no business of display screen, and it is much better for organizing purchase, then decrease production cost, unqualified rate and even the maintanence rate. All of you guys can search the disassembling pictures in web, then can find obvious distinction of the two techniques.

M8 uses the later technique. Besides price for m8 may be 2380 (8gb)

    ================================

    以下是引用J.Wong在2008-3-3 23:29:00的发言:
    真的是一台工程样机和2块开发版
They are really prototype and 2 developping boards.

but the plastic parts of prototype don't use the one same as mass processed.

All the functions are not complete, however, the main parts finished, but still under detailing.

People who are caring about techniques can read from that, can draw a conclusion: Meizu has the ability to production the m8 in your images.

And that is our purpose for this expo.

    Hey,

    hmm good or bad news?
Seems they plan to release the phone a few moths later right?

So is there no chance that they release it in March like often promised on all these Online-Shops?

PS: I'm from Germany, too and i will be at Cebit on March,8th and 9th

    best regards

Oh nice! It sounds like there will be something more to show besides the case-design itself...

yeah I had a feeling that other post was a load of rubbish, good to see Wong confirming it 100%. However, with the introduction of multitouch, this will inevitably mean another delay, I don't think we will be seeing the M8 until Q3 at the earliest, i'm thinking july/august probably.

That's about what I am worry! But, you know, there are too many chinese illegal mobile phone manufacturers have done multiple-touch in their rubbish productions, such as crazy HiPhone, except for Win Mobie, should we worry more for that? Meizu is not as rubbish as those illegal small workshops, isn't it?

Looyea, I think also...Is very strange! A lot of iphone copies on the web and produced in China have multiple-touch so I don't undestand that Meizu can not designed it on M8??? Very strange!

Don't forget multiple-touch is a sofware design, so nothink stop meizu to launch the M8 without function and make an firmware update with the function after!!! Very very strange I think!

I think that they only decided to include Multitouch late on in the development process, originally the M8 was supposed to be only single touch. I got the impression from Mr Wong's post that they will not release the M8 to the public without multitouch. He seems to suggest that instead of updating the software after the release they will just delay the M8 release so they can include it. Hopefully it will be better than the Hiphones multitouch, which does not look very good IMO.
