Well, I'm thinking that whenever the M6 comes out - if in 2009 - its quality to price ratio should put it to around the top.
Question is, how much will Meizu rush its release? As a rushed product could just make a bug-pile and in turn could bring Meizu's rep. down as well. (That's about the later firmware upgrades adding highly anticipated features idea.)
Personally, I think that waiting 4-5-6 months extra for a product doesn't make all that much difference, everyone's current phone can function that longer probably... Unless it breaks, but there always are almost no priced phones too. Of course they can only do phoning and SMSing

Best to just see what the new generation will bring.
For me, the M8 means:
- Great sound quality, what no other PDA/Phone will have, as they don't come from a DAP company. And the iPods are worse than an M6 easily.
- Very good processing power. Say one more PDA/Phone near price with a 600MHzish CPU. And the M8 should be more than that!
- A big and very good screen (720 * 480!) capable of letting you watch films and type notes packed into a very little box... (1.1cm wide, well... Most PDAs are near 3cms?)
- Tons of extra features what few other devices should have I believe...
- Price price price! Compare the expected $340 with the 16GB iPhone 1's $500! Although that's in China, so we'll see what's up in Europe and US.
I think that even half a year is a short time to wait because - at least - I don't depend on a high-tech phone day by day, it would only be a very handy gadget. One might ponder about what's the point rushing it
