11-20-2008 #62For the moment, that is one of Life's great mysteries. Everyone from J Wong to the testers is saying the sound on the M8 is much better than the M6 but so far there's been no details, specifications, or physical evidence of how or why it's better.Where is sound DAC on this PCB? If someone knows ...

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsguys, this photo was taken half year ago, it is an old pic.
m8 is just a 2.75G mobile phone, it supports gsm and edge, wifi and bluetooth.
no gps, no camera at front, no meeting conference and no umts or wcdma.
the next gen of meizu phone will support 3G and gps.
plus, the cpu is 6410.

Well there is a Wolfson codec in that photo and it's definitely not the WM8987 used by Meizu and so many other Chinese companies. It looks like "8750", but that wouldn't exactly be cutting edge stuff. Since the photo is rather old, though, there's no point in guessing what they've done with the mobo since. Nice & clean, though, which is an often overlooked factor in sound quality.
Wish they'd just release a final spec sheet and really put the PR machine into overdrive. With this "soft" introduction, Meizu needs all the positive buzz it can get.

This motherboard is old , There have defiantly been many revisions since it.
Notice for starts the USB port is in a completely different location.
Don't go by any hardware on it , except the CPU.
