Meizu and Microsoft

Are Meizu and Microsoft working onthe M8 together? If so this would be a perfect combination. Mostly because Microsoft is a software company and is huge which would complement for Meizu which is a way smaller company. And Microsoft could sponsor the M8 in the US. Tell me what you all think about this combination.

well...Microsoft have now realised the potential of licensing the Win ce operating sytem for use with chinese companies as well as the more established tech companies in places like south korea. Win CE 5.0 already powers many of south korea's top selling media playing devices from companies like Istation and iriver. The chinese company Ramos have already directly collaborated with microsoft on their V80 model so there is a possibility that microsoft engineers had a direct involvement with Meizu on the M8's production. There was a rumour circulating a while back that a number of engineers from other companies were working with Meizu on the M8 with microsoft and Cowon/Iaudio being mentioned. The bottom line is that when it comes to building software for media/convergence devices you only have a few options (linux, win ce etc). Meizu do not have the resources to build advanced operating systems from scrath so IMO working with Microsoft will definitely help them progress and help their products improve.

Yeah, I think there are 1 or 2 Microsoft engineers at Meizu.
