What are you using now?
I know that many of us are still waiting for the M8 to be released and I'm just curious as to what phone everyone is using right now. Also, assuming most people purchased their last phone with a different set expectations as compared to the expectations they have for the M8, what features should the M8 have that your current phone doesn't, what should it improve on as compared to your current phone, ect?
I picked up an N80 on ebay for $230 a few months ago and have been reasonably happy with the features and extras (NES emulator, Doom, wifi VOIP calls), but still feel like I could be using something better.
After playing with an iPhone my N80 seems fat, and the screen seems tiny. Also texting seems difficult without a keyboard, and web browsing, while decent on the N80, is nothing compared to what the iPhone experience was like.

iPhone here (not the biggest fan tho). Im coming from WinMo and even when GUI is years beyond on iPhone, I do prefer how winMo phones are build... not that limited (got it? lol)
Thinking of getting the just announced SE XPERIA X1, looks damn good!Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCurrently using a Sony Ericsson Z550i
Impossible to find any hacks but I have a few accessories.
If the M8 doesnt come out before June I think I may invest in a HiPhone or a P168 or a ITouch.
Im kind of just hanging out for a touch screen phone with music and video capabilities as well as Wifi; which it sounds as if the M8 has all of them.
I hope Meizu realise how much money they are loosing every time a day goes by.
Sam.

In my opinion it is cheaply made, good features for the price (at the time) but crappy quality. Sometimes it will turn itself off when i answer a call (even on full battery).

HTC P3300 since may 2007, really a great complete phone, running on meschle's vanilla 4.01 rom.
Slim and light.
Only thing with wm6 (I hope Meizu will find a way to change it) is that you need your handfree set for voip as the sound comes out the loudspeaker and not the earset.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI use a old HTC magician running on WM2003SE with a 4GB SD card so I can store all my music on it. I also installed iGo navigation program, works perfect. I customized the UI a little bit to make it up to date, here are some screenshots.
Where I live, they don't sell the iPhone and I am looking forward to get the M8.

Blackberry 8100 Pearl - I'm a business man, right?
I have actually won it a few months ago. Otherwise I wouldn't have one now, I don't think a mobile phone is what it needs to make life perfect

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSince the end of 2006 I have a W810i in white with good keyboard and perfect 2megapixel with autofocus. What a pity that Sony Ericsson does not give its customers the possibility to update the walkman-player.
I use Opera-Mini 3.1.2 which is very comfortale to go into internet.
What I don't like is videorecording in just 176x220 pixel.
Furthermore I have a Pocket PC 2003 for gps-navigation.
Both devices sound good, but afterwards came Meizu!
Because my pockets are full I would like to have for the future one product for all applications.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts4-5 year old Motorola A925. 3G, touchscreen, GPS, UIQ 2.0, Bluetooth, MP3 and Ogg Vorbis support, 640x480 camera :D , etc. Pretty ok, just a bit buggy and quite a brick, and battery lasts less than a day. Condition is pretty good, quite a solid thing. :D

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSE k850i. Received it as a gift back in December. Absolutely amazing. 5Mp camera and 3G, nice. POP3 and IMAP4 email and outlook calendar and contact sync as you would expect from a high end cell phone. The only things missing are WiFi and GPS. The player sound is good (not the greatest, but i rarely use it so i am okay).

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsnokia 6230 with 2GB mmc card, its getting ready to be replaced by the m8, but i guess it will have to wait until end Q3 as thats when the m8 probably will come out... (hopefully)
if it has not come out by december i might give up and get the iphone, the price will have dropped also, since i find it too expensive for now...Last edited by roelandb; 02-12-2008 at 04:14 PM.
