Verizon with M8?
Ok, so I ask this question, I know, its been asked before, but I got a story behind it.
I went to the local Verizon store. And I have asked them 'if I buy a phone off the interent, and it is open to all services, can I get it for verizon?' the lady replied 'If it is a verizon phone that we suppy, and if it has our name on it, we can, what phone are you talking about?' I respounded 'Its called the meizu M8' and the lady described it saying that there was a verizon meeting about it and its like the iphone, except smaller, (she held her fingers out to like 2 inches by like 1 and a half inch) and continued to say that it will be a verizon phone. But do you think it is the M8 she was talking about or was she confused? And how will we get our M8's to the provider we want? She also said that very soon, all the providers will be able to take phones from other providers.
Questions/comments? =p

You will just need to put your providers sim card into the M8.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsVerizon won't work on the meizu m8 because verizon uses the technology called CDMA which was the technology that all the companies used before. Mostly all the cell phone companies now use GSM which does use a sim card. Mostly everywhere else in the world uses sim cards(gsm) especially china and the m8 will be a gsm phone unless they are going to come out with a CDMA m8 which I highly doubt.
Even the Iphone was made only for GSM because everywhere else in the world other than some of the US companies uses GSM.

We don't even have CDMA in Australia anymore, the CDMA network shut down a few weeks ago. The company that offered it also offered GSM so that's all they sell now. CDMA had really good signal though. We went on a camping trip to outback Australia (middle of nowhere) and a friend of mine with his CDMA phone was the only one with signal for most of the trip.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIf you know that the M8 will use CDMA then you should know when it's coming out. Right?
Doesn't really matter for me because I use at&t which uses GSM in the U.S.
I still believe on what I said before. But who really knows Meizu might want to come out with a CDMA versionLast edited by kyauk; 02-10-2008 at 08:30 AM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsi would think gsm alone would be less expensive, and most people would never use cdma anyway, so i would say that they should not make it more expensive for somthing most of us will never use.
